There lives
a man in the kingdom of Umuagbo Mazi Okonkwo who has two daughters, Chinwe and
Uzoma. Chinwe is the black sheep of the family while Uzoma is her father’s only
hope. When Nkem proposed to Chinwe for
marriage, no member of his family was in support of it, even Mazi Okonkwo
himself argue the toss because the matter was a bone of contention. But Chinwe
been a bundle of nerves killed her father in order to open the floodgate. After
the marriage, Chinwe never changed rather, she played havoc in the family.
On one
occasion, she visited her sister who also got married, and Chinwe had always
had bad feelings towards her sister and must fulfill it by hook or by crook.
And after that visitation……..,Chinwe herself has two daughters as well Nnenna
and Erinma, but chooses to humiliate her late sister’s only surviving child
Nkeiruka.
As time
passed by, Nkeiru was employed in the palace by the Queen (Lolo Ada Anagolu) as
a maid to the princess. Only a few months in the palace, she loved Nkeiruka and
she was on a crest of a wave.
When Chinwe
learnt this, she was never happy but rather, went on fishing expedition and
must bring down Nkeiruka by blood, sweat and tears.
Nkeiruka suffered lot and lot of humiliation even when
the Queen died, she was accused of her death.
And there
was nothing Erinma or anyone could do when the die was cast by the priestess.
But against all ODDS, fate pierced it’s way through.

After the
death of Mazi Ebube, things became worst than it was. Chaos and misery became
the order of the day. Mazi Njemanze and the entire elders of the village made
all efforts to stop the commotion in the family, but all were to no avail. Mazi
Ebube had three sons Chukwudi, Osondu and Nnamdi. Osundu’s wife was jezebel in
the family while Nnamdi had no child and Chukwudi had two daughters Ozioma and
Chigozie who later lost their parents and were exposed to the pains of life.
Ozioma, been asthmatic was forced in to marriage which almost cost her her
life. Based on the fact that she couldn’t cope with the marriage, she returned
home and both were thrown out of the house by their cruel uncles and they left
the village for the city for greener pastures and situation over there placed them
at sixes and sevens. But the girls kept their fingers crossed but tragedy
occurred which broke them apart, and what could this be?
